Important Business Remote Deposit Information For Non-Internet Explorer Users

Posted on 9/17/2018 2:06:02 PM We have identified an issue with users of remote deposit capture in which Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox clients received the error message, “Ranger scanner unable to start up.”
 
Customers using Internet Explorer are not experiencing an issue and will not have to take any action.
 
All RDC users that are using the above browsers for Remote Deposit Capture will need to complete the following steps in order to continue making deposits.
 
1. Log into Business Online Banking as normal and click on Remote Deposit Capture in the account services tab.

2. Locate the Help option and select Download Page.

3. Find RangerRemote and click Install Now. 

4. When the file is finished downloading click run.
If prompted, have an administrator log in or allow access for the application to run with administrator rights.
 
5. When the Fiserv Installation screen displays, click Install.

 
6. The bar will turn orange if the installation was successful. Click Exit.
7. Verify that the Ranger Remote server is running. Locate the system tray icon named Ranger Server and right click on it. If Start Server displays in the menu, click Start Server. If Stop Server displays in the menu, do not click on a selection, the program is already running.

If Start Server is in the menu, click Start Server.

If Stop Server is in the menu, the program is already running.
