Girl Scouts visit Shorewood Office

Girl Scouts Visit Shorewood OfficeIn November, a local Girl Scout Troop (#10586) visited our Shorewood branch to learn about banking. They were given a tour of the branch and made "junior employees" for the afternoon. The Scouts learned about our coin counter, how to make deposits, home loans, and took a tour of the office. They also talked about the bank’s hiring processes and gave them mock job interviews.
They were asked questions like: ‘What do you want to be when you grow up? What age do you look forward to and why? Tell me a bit about your birthday party from this past year.'
Additionally, the girls learned about saving money and home buying. The Scouts had many questions and our staff enjoyed having them visit. The visit closed with a meeting in the branch’s upstairs conference room, where the Scouts talked about what they’d learned and which roles at the bank they’d liked best, and had an ice cream party.
