Kids Day Fox Valley Jam-Packed with Fun and Safety Tips

The sun was shining and so were the smiles on the faces of the children who attended this year’s bank sponsored Kids Day Fox Valley. From martial arts demonstrations by Soto’s Martial Arts Academy and meeting mascots, including our own seagull Seymour Savings, to learning about weather from WFRV-TV Channel 5 Chief Meteorologist Luke Sampe and an amazing bike giveaway; everyone had a great day and we’re thrilled that so many of you were able to attend! Social Security Seminar Draws Great Interest

We recently held a complimentary Social Security seminar at our corporate office in Brookfield. The event benefited those seeking information about planning for retirement as it pertains to collecting Social Security. Many people don’t know that there are multiple options and ways to file. In fact, how and when you choose to file can change how much you collect on a monthly basis by hundreds of dollars. Light refreshments were served and the room was filled to capacity. We were glad so many people could join us for this informative session. If you have questions, please visit a branch near you.

Record Breaking UPAF Campaign Results

North Shore Bank’s employee drive to raise money in support of the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) netted almost $6,000 ($5,812!), easily surpassing our goal of $3,909, thanks to employee generosity. Additionally, more than 50 cyclists will represent the bank in the UPAF Ride for the Arts on May 31. Besides supporting more than 30 arts groups in and around Milwaukee, UPAF also supports arts education programming in area schools. The weeklong campaign included a pancake breakfast, carnival, and ice cream social for employees at its corporate office. There were also performances by talented teens from First Stage and the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Bank Shredding Days Collect More Than 40 Tons

The totals are in! Our ninth annual Free Community Shredding Day events took in more than 80,901 pounds of materials to be safely and securely destroyed and recycled. That equals 40.45 tons of paper materials. We enjoyed seeing so many of our customers and neighbors taking advantage of the free service we provided in May. View more event pictures.
