North Shore Bank to Host Free Business Seminar on Fraud

Burlington community businesses to learn about minimizing their risk

BURLINGTON, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced that it has partnered with Ansay & Associates Insurance to host a free business fraud prevention seminar at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19 at Burlington Coffee House (492 N. Pine Street) in the Liar’s Club upstairs.

Event attendees will learn about the types of business fraud, fraud’s financial impact, business email comprises and liability, what can happen to an organization that is affected by fraud, who is liable for fraud loss, and more. They will also be taught how to plan for fraud incidents and how to take corrective action after an incident is discovered.

Penny Foust, Vice President of Commercial Treasury Solutions at North Shore Bank, will be on hand to discuss current scams and provide tips for area businesses to minimize their risk. There is no cost to attend and beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be provided.
